Hello Friends,
August was… a lot. The kind of month that makes you laugh, cry, and question your life choices all in the same afternoon. My daughter’s new rescue, an insanely smart girl Golden Retriever named Charlie, makes my boy dogs (Oliver, an English Bulldog and Riley, a Boston Terrier) seem as dumb as possible. As I watch her perform every trick known to man, I ask myself, where did I go wrong?
My eldest son is visiting from Philly for a month, and my youngest is back in college battling Physics and other horrifically challenging coursework. My life has officially transformed into a whirlwind of doggie drama and “Mom, it's eleven pm, can I get a ride?” energy. It’s been nonstop — but it’s also been full of life, and I’m grateful for that.
But September is here. Temperatures are dropping. Love is in the air. So, on to bookish news!

🚗 My First Out‑of‑Town Book Fair
Next week I’m heading to the Smuttastic Book Fair in St. George, and I’m equal parts excited and overwhelmed. I’ve been designing new merch, ordering books, and trying to figure out how to pack an entire mini‑store into my Jeep.
And then… disaster struck.
UPS left a full order of books on my porch in the rain. Every single one was ruined. I stood
there holding a soggy paperback like it was a fallen soldier. It was a terrible moment — but we move forward. We rebuild. We reorder. We keep going.
🔥 The Somewhere Aching Series Lives On
I truly thought I was done. I said it out loud. I believed it.
And then Book 6 — A Secret to Sin For — hit me like a lightning bolt.
I’ve written 70,000 words in two weeks. A whirlwind of heartbreak, obsession, and emotional chaos. This love triangle refuses to let me go, and honestly… I’m surrendering to it. These characters still have more to say.

Judith — A femme fatale, a beauty queen filled with rage and discontent, searching for Mister Right in all the wrong places.
Nicolas — A modern Hamlet, tortured and beautiful, a damaged Casanova with a love addiction.
Justin — An insanely hot cop with a hero complex as big as his... he's got a dark side that Judith turns pitch-black.
Their stories are messy, human, and painfully real — and they’re the heartbeat of this series.
