Why I Wrote Somewhere Aching Instead of Chasing Trends

For the first time, this powerful story is all captured in a single-series trailer.

If you've ever wondered what Somewhere Aching is really about, this is it. A saga of emotional chaos, impossible choices, devastating consequences, and a love triangle that was doomed from the moment it began.

Think soap-opera-level romantic drama but distilled into a tightly woven cast of ten characters and driven by deeply personal, life-altering stakes.

At the heart of it all is Judith.

She only meets Justin because Nicolas breaks the law.

One reckless decision. One impossible connection. One seemingly endless chain reaction of if only.

In many ways, if only is the true heartbeat of this series. It echoes through every book, every relationship, every sacrifice, every mistake. That's why it's called Somewhere Aching. The ache lives in the roads not taken, the choices we regret, and the people we can't quite let go.

I love romance. I love drama.

But for years I've struggled to find stories that felt truly deep, complex, and emotionally satisfying. I wanted stories that wrestled with me. Stories that pushed boundaries. Stories that made me care about the villain even while I rooted for the hero.

I wanted a heroine who digs her own grave because she's human.

I wanted flawed characters with realistic failings.

I wanted obsession that made sense.

Lawbreaking that felt inevitable.

Mistakes born from character, not convenient plot devices.

Most of all, I wanted characters who genuinely evolve as the story unfolds, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.

It's a tall order. So I wrote it.

And maybe that's why I feel so strongly about the future of storytelling right now.

As AI-generated content becomes increasingly common, I don't think the answer is to write faster or try to outproduce the machines. I think the answer is authenticity.

Stop writing for the algorithm.

Stop chasing trends.

Stop competing with AI.

Write the stories that haunt you.

Write the stories you carry with you.

Let's have a grunge-era revival in fiction. Let's bring back the messy, imperfect, deeply human stories that aren't afraid to leave scars.

Let's get gritty.

Let's get real.

Let's get more human than ever.

That's my piece. Now grab Book One and buckle in for the ride. Because Somewhere Aching reads like an emotional VelociCoaster, relentless, breathtaking, and impossible to forget. It never stops climbing, and once it drops, it doesn't let go.

Watch the trailer and then prepare yourself for the ache.
