The Author
Tanya's writing delves into heavy themes surrounding trauma, toxic relationships, and healing through love. Reading fiction has been a coping strategy for most of her life. She calls it "poor man's therapy." Now she is finally in the right place to do for others what so many authors have done for her—give people a bit of hope!
Her influences range from the British classics to romance, thrillers, and horror. Some of her favorite authors over the years have included Victoria Holt, Mary Higgins Clark, Dean Koontz, Steven King, Lars Kepler, Val McDermid, Patricia Cornwell, Margaret Atwood, and, of course, the Brontë sisters.
A voracious reader, she is also fascinated by history and world geography. Her stories often reflect the world darkly but ultimately strive for a happy ending. A musician long before a writer, she imbues her stories with a lyrical note. She writes from multiple point of views, so her stories are rich with complexity and different emotions. Words have always been a form of therapy for Tanya, and that is the torch she hopes to carry from the writers who influenced her out into the world.
